Mendistribusikan melalui bluetooth ponsel, Nia menyebutnya e-book. “Ya hitung-hitung bikin gebrakan, sekaligus menggalang budaya membaca dan menulis,” katanya waktu itu. Media e-book dipilihnya untuk menghindari kerepotan dan membengkaknya biaya produksi-distribusi seperti yang pernah dia alami saat memasarkan Eiffel I’m in Love. Sayang, kalangan pembaca adem ayem saja menyambutnya. Novel digital memang belum populer. Tapi, siapa berani menyangkal, kita sedang menuju ke sana.

Barelang Bridge, the Icon of Batam

Don’t say you’ve ever traveled to Batam if you did not visit Jembatan Barelang (Bridge) yet. We call this bridge Barelang because it connects Batam Island (BA), Rempang island (RE), Galang island (LANG), and others small islands in the path. “Hey, why don’t you bring me there this afternoon?” I asked my friend who had been living in Nagoya (Batam Island) for one year.

We can get the writer’s block, I think because we: (1) Are inconsistent (often change the idea, without even single finished story). (2) Have the others activity beyond the writing (it easily turns the goal off). (3) Pending the work too long. (4) Have a problem in confident (like feel that don’t have any talent). (5) Surrender to the underestimation by folks (people sometime doesn’t consider writer as a real job). (6) High-voltage of ego (so we become vulnerable with any sharp critic). (7) Low level of healthiness. (8) Wrong location to write (sometime it makes bad mood). (9) Personal problem (motivational things, include).

Ride on Pekalen’s Pounding River

To the rafting start location

It seems like we have been planning this since centuries. Whirled by the works, we decided to go to Probolinggo to chill out our heads with Pekalen River‘s pounding water. It’s a rafting, Dude! The team, made of 14 persons, went from Surabaya at 6 o’clock in the morning. We reached up Probolinggo about four hours later. The receptionist at Songa Rafting’s basecamp then gave us a welcome smile.
